A dental practice upgraded to digital dentistry
The project funded nine pieces of digital dentistry equipment: an intraoral scanning system with a dedicated laptop and mobile cart, a dental 3D printer, a ceramic firing furnace, a light-curing oven, a dry milling machine, a four-axis wet milling machine, a high-power silent extractor, a zirconia sintering furnace and an oil-free compressor in a soundproof cabinet, together with two dedicated software packages.
Patients gained new services: optical impressions and a digital model instead of putty, temporary teeth and study models 3D-printed on the spot in resin, final zirconia crowns by dry milling and sintering, and final ceramic prosthetic work by wet milling and firing.
