Converting an old orchard to organic growing
Two applications prepared at the same time secured funding to integrate the business vertically: converting 50 hectares of old orchard into an organic plantation of apricot, apple, quince, peach and cherry, and building a processing unit for the fruit grown conventionally, making juice, dried fruit crisps and jam.
The project also equipped the holding with the machinery it needed and with vehicles for selling both the fruit and the processed products.
